My Background
I grew up in Portugal and earned my B.S. in Biochemistry and Biophysics from Iowa State University,
followed by a Ph.D. in Biology from MIT and a postdoctoral fellowship in Biochemistry and Biophysics at UCSF.
I spent 34 years in biotechnology, primarily in antibody development and engineering, and retired from
Roche Tissue Diagnostics in 2021. Since then, I have supported individuals and companies on a range of projects, including:
- Evaluating new therapeutic technologies
- Designing immunogens
- Developing customized Python and HTML tools for statistical and data analyses
